Translator (Japanese to English)

Receive raws from team members or distribution sites and translate them from Japanese into English. The English doesn't have to be perfect, but be prepared to work with other team members if any questions arise.

Cleaner

Using tools like Photoshop and Topaz Denoise, clean up the raws so that they look like they came fresh off the press, free of dirt or paper texture.

Proofreader

Take the translator's less than perfect English and perfect it, watching for correct spelling and grammar, character names, story continuity, and flow.

Typesetter

Take the finished proof from the Proofreader(s) and type it onto the page using Photoshop, adhering to a strict set of typesetting rules in order to keep the look consistent. Save the pages in the correct format and when the scanlation is completed, release it to the public.
